Human Resources Advisor
Work Location - National Capital Region (Gatineau/Ottawa)

This position presents an opportunity to participate in a growth oriented organization and to gain exposure and understanding of the energy industry. This role is ideally suited for a motivated, career oriented generalist seeking a challenging opportunity. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the incumbent will assist in the development of human resources programs and policies and will offer operational human resources advisory services to management and employees of the Canadian Operations. Specific responsibilities will include:
Assist with the recruitment function, including requisition processing, job postings, applicant tracking, interviews, employment offers, etc.
Liaise with managers and employees on a day-to-day basis, providing support and counsel on a broad variety of HR issues such as policy and procedure interpretation, counseling, and employee communications.
Analyze and provide recommendations on staff compensation and benefits.
Provide support in the implementation of various HR projects and initiatives;
Collect, develop, extract, maintain, and analyze key HR metrics and other workforce management data such as turnover, recruitment costs, training, demographic profiles, terminations, skill shortages, etc.
Ensure compliance with employee-related legislation (e.g. employment standards, human rights, pay equity, labour relations, etc.).
Candidate Profile
Post-secondary (undergraduate) degree or diploma in Human Resources or in a related field;
Minimum of three years of experience in HR, including experience in the private sector;
Experience in recruitment, labour relations, compensation and program management;
Knowledge and understanding of group benefit plans would be considered an asset;
Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English;
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to objectively coach employees and management through various issues;
Flexible and capable of working in a fast-paced environment;
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
