Key Qualifications:
· Three to five years clinical experience in Coronary Care/Critical Care
· Coronary Care Certificate and ACLS
· Critical Care Certificate desirable
· BScN preferred
· Cardiovascular or Critical Care speciality certification desirable
· Computer skills an asset

Primary Responsibilities:
· Manage, organize and prioritize day-to-day patient care activities, staffing and resource utilization
· Function as an expert clinical resource for the CCU team.
· Monitor and address patient and family satisfaction with care
· Facilitate individual and interdisciplinary team teamwork and effective work process
· Provide leadership in implementing best practice
· Facilitate staff orientation in collaboration with Clinical Educators and identify staff learning needs and appropriate resources.
· Participate in hiring, orientation and performance evaluation.
· Lead/facilitate unit based teams to achieve unit goals & objectives.
· Work with manager to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
· Awareness and a good understanding of the principles/protocols that govern health and safety issues.
