Scintrex Trace Corp develops and manufactures narcotics and explosive detection equipment and has a worldwide reputation for innovation. The Engineering group is in need of an experienced Mechanical Engineer/Mechanical Designer and a Chemist/Chemical Engineer.



The applicant should have an understanding of some of the following:
-The design, construction, use, calibration, and service of analytical instrumentation (including heaters, temperature, pressure, and chemical sensors),
-IMS, MS, or GC based detectors, non radioactive ion sources (corona, Photoionization),
-Systems integration (mechanical and electronic subsystems), communications and user interface design,
-Instrument packaging, methods of trace chemical sampling,
-Pneumatic and hydraulic systems (valves, regulators, pumps, cylinders), flow and pressure management, dust management (cyclone, filter and impactor design),
-and conveyors (belted or chain driven).



Applicants must be proficient in technical writing in support of the STC engineering document system. The mechanical applicant must have CAD knowledge (mechanical desktop or inventor). Machining, hands-on prototyping skills, and a demonstrated ability to innovate are assets. The applicant must have a degree from a recognized university and five years experience.
