Requirements:This internship is being offered by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada under the Federal Public Sector Youth Internship Program (FPSYIP) of the Youth Employment Strategy. To be eligible for this internship you must meet the following criteria: Be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusively); Be in need of assistance to overcome employment barriers; Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident; Be legally entitled to work according to relevant provincial legislation and regulations; Be out of school; not have previously participated in the Federal Public Sector Youth Internship Program or another internship program under the federal government's Youth Employment Strategy; and Not be in receipt of Employment Insurance (EI) benefits. Interns hired under the Federal Public Sector Youth Internship Program are not federal employees. The YMCA is the legal employer of all interns placed in federal public sector worksites for the duration of the internship.
Terms of Employment: Temporary, Full Time
Salary: $12.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: St. John's and Area, Newfoundland and Labrador (1 vacancy)
