An exciting opportunity has recently become available for a Branch Manager in our North region.
Reporting to the District General Manager, you will be responsible for the growth, profitability and efficient operation of the branch. They will lead, develop and coach a team of high performance Sales and Service Associates who will work together to attract, retain and grow ATB's customer base and revenues, mitigating operational and credit risk.
Your key responsibilities will include:
· Lead and coach the branch management team using the Sales & Service Leadership practices including scheduling weekly goal setting, focused coaching and observation based coaching meetings, weekly huddles and, branch leadership and Associate meetings.
· Identify development requirements for branch leaders and ensure timely registration for business, sales, service or leadership courses, as required.
· Responsible for ensuring that all branch trainees receive the required training for their positions.
· Recognize and reward Associates for key contributions
· Communicate, and act as an Advocate of ATB's Corporate and HR policies and practices, with branch leaders and Associates
· Actively recruit Sales and Service Associates from the competitive marketplace
· Develop and implement a yearly sales and marketing action and activity plan
· Establish and manage branch sales and service targets and take responsibility for meeting and/or exceeding sales/service targets
· Develop and build internal partner relationships with other ATB departments, supporting branch operations to meet customer service requirements and resolve issues or concerns.
· Maintain, develop and build customer relationships by providing optimum customer service and participating in business and community events.
· Participate in regional business planning and budgeting meetings and communicate the vision to branch Associates
· Ensure branch assets are properly safeguarded and that premises and equipment are maintained and that collateral documents are properly controlled and that necessary operational and compliance controls are in place.
· Manage branch profitability through effective control of non-interest expenses, revenue and loan product pricing
· Ensure credit decisions and recommendations are in accordance with sound credit granting principles, and are in accordance with ATB policies and procedures
· Take responsibility for personal development plan; schedule meeting with District Manager to discuss development plans
As the ideal candidate you possess:
· Build and maintain a sales and service team focus

· Model and demonstrate sales and service activities and behaviors
· Demonstrated integrity through consistency of words and actions
· Demonstrate an ability to deal with change, make decisions and implement creative solutions
· Expert knowledge and experience of personal and/or business financial products, including deposit, Investment and lending products
· A strong understanding of credit policies and practices
· Recognized business degree or diploma, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
· Sales & Service Leadership, Sales Management and Personal Lending Certification, or equivalent training and experience
· ICB Management Studies certification is an asset
· Minimum 8 years personal and/or business lending experience in the financial services industry with 3-5 years sales and/or service leadership experience
